With close ups of brushwork detail, watercolour sketches, photos and enlightening interviews, this is the next best thing to seeing the real thing. She is an artist of controversy, given her subject matter, but one that is deserving of the attention. Beautiful book, highly recommended.

Reference: Ann Blockley is an artist well known for her contemporary approach to traditional subjects. This book is filled with wonderful samples of her colourful and expressive art works. There are many techniques covered including water-based paint and ink with other media such as gesso and collage to create dramatic effects and manipulating paint with other materials. A must read for any serious watercolourist.

Artist: Genius, activist, mythical legend or notorious graffiti artist? The work of Banksy is unmistakable, except maybe when it’s squatting in the Tate or New York’s Metropolitan Museum. Banksy is responsible for decorating the streets, walls, bridges and zoos of towns and cites throughout the world. A fantastic insight into the artists work and world.
